Well control equipment

Well control equipment encompasses all the hardware used to maintain pressure control of the wellbore to prevent a blowout. During intervention, this typically includes the Blowout Preventer (BOP), the choke manifold, and the accumulator unit.

For wireline or coil tubing operations, the pressure control stack (lubricator, stuffing box, grease injector head) is distinct from the rig BOP but serves the same critical safety function of containing well pressure while allowing the tool string to move.
