Vapor recovery unit

A Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU) is a compression system designed to capture low-pressure flash gas from storage tanks that would otherwise be vented or flared. It compresses this gas and discharges it into the sales line.

VRUs are essential for reducing methane emissions and capturing lost revenue. They are typically small rotary screw or scroll compressors suitable for low suction pressures.
