Reformer unit

Catalytic Reforming is a process used to convert low-octane naphthas (straight-run gasoline) into high-octane liquid products called reformates, which are premium blending stocks for gasoline.

The process rearranges the hydrocarbon molecules (dehydrogenation of naphthenes to aromatics) and produces a significant byproduct: hydrogen gas, which is then used in the hydrotreaters.
