Production flare

A production flare is a vertical stack equipped with a burner tip used to safely burn off excess or waste gas that cannot be sold or processed. It is a critical safety system for relieving pressure during emergency shutdowns (ESD).

Modern flares are designed for high efficiency to minimize smoke and methane emissions. 'Enclosed combustors' are increasingly used to hide the visible flame and achieve higher destruction efficiencies.
