Pipeline pig

A 'Pig' (Pipeline Inspection Gauge) is a device inserted into a pipeline and driven by fluid pressure. Utility pigs clean the line using brushes or scrapers.

Smart pigs (In-Line Inspection, ILI) use sensors to measure wall thickness and detect cracks.
