Permit to work

A Permit to Work (PTW) is a formal documented system used to control high-risk activities. Before starting tasks like Hot Work (welding/grinding), Confined Space Entry, or bypassing safety systems, a permit must be issued.

The permit details the hazards, precautions (gas testing, fire watch), and authorization required. It ensures communication between operations and maintenance teams so everyone knows what is happening on the facility.
