Logging winch

The logging winch is the powerful hydraulic drum unit used to spool the wireline cable in and out of the well. It must be capable of lifting long, heavy tool strings (thousands of pounds) from deep wells.

Precision depth control is critical; the winch operator works in tandem with the logging engineer to maintain constant speed and ensure accurate depth correlation.
