Hydrostatic test

A hydrostatic test involves filling a vessel or pipe with liquid (water) and pressurizing it to a specified level to check for leaks or structural failure. It is safer than pneumatic testing because water is incompressible.

All high-pressure surface equipment (lines, manifolds, BOPs) must be hydro-tested before usage.
