Flowline

A flowline is the pipe connecting the wellhead to the separation equipment or production manifold. It transports the raw, unprocessed multiphase fluid (oil, gas, water, sand) at wellhead pressure.

Flowlines are critical infrastructure often subject to harsh conditions, including internal corrosion from CO2/H2S, erosion from sand, and paraffin/hydrate blockage. Flow assurance strategies (chemical injection, insulation, pigging) are often focused on keeping the flowline clear.
