Fishing magnet

A fishing magnet is a simple yet effective retrieval tool used to recover small ferrous objects (junk) from the bottom of the well, such as bit cones, bearings, or hand tools.

Powerful permanent magnets are housed in a steel body. Circulation ports allow fluid to wash debris away from the magnet face to ensure good contact with the junk. It is often run before running a diamond bit to ensure the hole is clean.
