Downhole camera

A downhole camera is a diagnostic tool run on wireline or coiled tubing to visually inspect the wellbore. Modern cameras can provide real-time video or high-resolution stills of casing damage, obstructions, or fish (lost tools).

Visual confirmation is invaluable for making decisions on fishing operations (seeing the orientation of the fish) or validating the success of a cleanout run. Some cameras can even operate in fluid-filled wells using lights and fluid displacement caps.
