Cement head

A cement head is the manifold attached to the top of the casing during a cement job. It provides a connection for the cement lines and houses the cementing plugs (top and bottom).

It prevents the need to disconnect lines to drop plugs, allowing for continuous pumping, which is vital to prevent the cement from setting prematurely (flash set).
