Amine unit

A gas treating unit that uses amine solutions (MEA, DEA) to absorb 'acid gases' (H2S and CO2) from natural gas or refinery gas streams (‘sweetening’).

The rich amine is then regenerated by heating it to release the trapped gas, allowing the amine to be reused.
